Following the announcement from the UDAR and Svoboda parties about their exiting from the “European Choice” parliamentary majority the Prime Minister of Ukraine, Arseniy Yatsenyuk announced his resignation during a session of parliament. Yatsenyuk's resignation clears the way for early parliamentary elections to take place in Ukraine.
The resignation came shortly after parliament failed to pass into law a bill that would see the liberalization of control over Ukraine's pipeline system.
