Dear Neighbour,
I am running for re-election as your City Councillor for Etobicoke-Lakeshore. I have been honoured to represent our community at City Hall since 2003, and while we have had much success in the many diverse neighbourhoods in South Etobicoke, I still have work to do.
I am proudly rooted in Etobicoke-Lakeshore. My commitment to family and community is the result of a life nurtured in the heart of the Lake Shore. My three brothers and I were raised here. Now alongside my wife Anne, I am raising five children of my own in South Etobicoke. I truly understand the importance of family and the need for great jobs, reliable city services, community resources, safe streets, and beautiful parks for all to enjoy.
Before entering politics, I was the president and owner of a successful logistics business in South Etobicoke with my brothers. Through this experience, I became acutely aware of the pressing economic issues facing local businesses. Prior to becoming an entrepreneur, I worked at the Toronto Stock Exchange as a trader and market maker at a major financial firm for 13 years.
Our community will continue to face many challenges over the next four years, and I have the experience to tackle those head on. In my last term we kept taxes low. Saw improvements in all areas of transit. Built new playgrounds and schools. Brought new jobs and industries back to the area. And great new shops and businesses are opening all the time.
In addition to the large-scale improvements we have made so far, my office continues to help hundreds of residents each and every week with local and city-wide issues. I am always here to help you.
I am looking for your vote on October 22 to continue my work for the people of Etobicoke-Lakeshore to help make each day better than the last.
