Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies… (Proverbs 31:10)

Kolyn, Stephanie Adelaide – Passed away peacefully at Stirling Heights LTC on Tuesday May 5, 2020 at the age of 86. Loving and devoted wife of Albert Kolyn, who together would have celebrated their 66th wedding anniversary this coming June. Beloved mother of Linda Helen, Lawrence Albert (Cathy Litvinchuk), and Donna Marie (Andrew Klahsen). Proud Baba Steffie of Lauren, Jonathon, Kate, Olena and Matthew. Baby sister of Jaroslava (Claire) Hlibchuk. Loving Aunt and Godmother of our cousins. An indefatigable volunteer, known to many throughout the Ukrainian community as “Pani Stefka”.
Charitable, gregarious and friendly. “Hospodinya” extraordinaire. A celebrated chef and expert gardener. A prolific and highly creative seamstress, knitter and embroiderer. Avid vacationer. Many cups of coffee and laughs shared with all.
We honour Mom’s memory by sharing the skills she taught all of us.
Faithful to God, her family and community.

When I come to the end of the road,
And the sun has set for me
I want no rites in a gloom filled room
Why cry for a soul set free?
Miss me a little but not too long,
And not with your head bowed low
Remember the laughs that we once shared
Miss me and let me go.
For this is the journey that we all must take, and each must go alone.
It’s all a part of the Master’s plan
A step on the road to home.
When you are lonely and sick of heart
Go to the friends we know and bury your sorrows in doing good deeds
Miss me but let me go.

“I worked hard because of love.” Stephanie Kolyn, January 27, 2020.
