Servus Credit Union has donated $50,000 to the Canada Ukraine Foundation’s Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal and put in place several programs to provide support for its members to financially support their families currently in or trying to leave Ukraine.
Among these are the following:
Donations
Branches are set up to accept in-person donations to the Canadian Ukrainian Foundation to support our members, friends and family affected by the crisis in Ukraine.
For Existing members
Wire and draft fees to impacted friends/families from Ukraine will be waived.
Retail Loan Deferral Program. Servus is providing a one-time three-month deferral of payments on retail loans and conventional term mortgages for existing members to open their cash flow so they are able to offer financial support
For New to Canada – Refugee Financial Relief Program

Chequing account: A new Servus chequing account – FREE with no fees for the first 24 months
Cash Gift: $250 cash gift per adult joined to the account over 18 years of age.
All associated fees to transfer funds to Ukraine will be waived (time period to be determined)
Servus was created through the merger of several smaller, regional credit unions in Alberta, including the Ukrainian (Edmonton) Credit Union. In the beginning it was known as Capital City Savings & Credit Union, based in Edmonton.
On November 1, 2008, it became Canada’s first province-wide credit union when it amalgamated with Community Savings and Common Wealth Credit Union, which included the former Ukrainian (Calgary) Credit Union.
Servus has a Ukrainian Community Council which acts as an advisory body.
